CHEVRON B14 DBE-68-02

Chris Ball has owned B14 DBE-68-02 since June 1986.

The first owner of DBE-68-02 was Peter Broeker who was, of course, the man behind Canada's only F1 car (discounting Wolf which was designed and built in the UK). The Canadian-built Stebro was a conventional F Junior spaceframe design and for the 1963 US Grand Prix Broker fitted a 1.5 litre engine and entered the car at Watkins Glen. Qualifying some 15 seconds off the pace the Stebro finished 7th, 22 laps behind the winner.

Broeker kept his B14 for several years racing it in FB races as well as a couple of F5000 races (as a FB car) at Mosport Park and Lime Rock in 1968.

Engine: Twin Cam

HTP Ref: 28842

Historical Notes:
Originally delivered to Peter Broeker, a Canadian, via Chevron's North American agent of the time, Fred Opert.
